Hi, my parents are South Americans, so i'm latino/hispanic, but was born and raised in England... My hair is naturally dark brown/black, I have dark brown eyes and tanned coloured skin...I was wondering if someone could tell me by judging on my colouring and the country i was brought up in, if I will burn by using tanning oil with a low spf, when i go away on holiday in the summer... I have never used oil before, always spf 15 lotion. I've never been sun burnt yet, but do you think there's a chance I could this summer?

THESE ARE EXCELLENT PRODUCTS, AND YOU WON'T BURN!

Dark Tanning Carrot Oil.

Carrot Oil is a powerful tanning accelerator. It also naturally reduces the damaging effects of UV radiation. Look for carrot oil products that have a deep, golden color (not orange) and contain only vegetable or nut based oils, and no mineral oil.

Carrot Oil acts as a natural tanning enhancer, producing a visibly golden tan in a short amount of time. The natural color of Carrot Oil is deep gold and will appear so in solutions containing effective concentrations (between 2% to 10%). Either alone or when combined with other tanning enhancers, such as tyrosine or riboflavin, suncare products containing effective concentrations of Carrot Oil provide a noticeably golden, even tan without any unwanted orange coloration.

Hawaiian Tan Dark Tanning Oil -- SPF 3
Protective formula filters out burning sun rays. This unique combination of rich natural oils and vitamins permits you to stay in the sun longer. Relatively low SPF 3 promotes a fast, dark and even tan, while it keeps your skin beautifully soft and moisturized. Apply before and repeatedly during sunbathing or outdoor exercise. Use after sun exposure to help your tan last longer. Regular use will help reduce chances of premature aging and wrinkling of skin or skin cancer due to long-term sun exposure.

Everyone burns without the spf. I used to work in a tanning salon for 12 years. We had a few black people who came in before they went away because they burn in the sun too. Once you have your base built up, you would probably be ok with the oil and lower spf, but just be careful how long you are in the sun.

Tanning oil allows burning, definitely. You need the SPF to prevent skin damage.

I use banana boat or ocean potion SPF 15 tanning oil and it allows me to get a nice tan without burning easily. You will still need to be careful, and be sure to re-apply every so often and everytime you go swimming.

being latino, i'm sure you could use oil with no problem, it'll probably help you tan better than using spf lotion- i'm sure it will...
