They are fighting all the time now, and are like room mates, instead of being married. No affection at all.

What would be wrong with trying to save a 25 year committment? Communicate, decide if its worth saving, get some professional help with a therapist.

Basically its totally up to her whatever she wants to do here, but if shes that unhappy with no chance of anything working out then by all means petition the courts for a divorce. If she can afford an attorney go for it, but if not try to hire a Paralegal which is just as good but cheaper or go to Legal Aid and try for a free attorney. Also if at all possible, she needs to sit down with her husband and work out all the details, it saves money and time and judges love it. Just get get the agreement on paper and get it notorized before court. Once the judge awards the divorce, it usually takes about 30 days or so to be registered in the dept of Public Records and then it becomes final. Good luck

She has put in alot of time to throw it away. The grass always looks greener. If you are really a friend , get them in to counciling. Going out there again after that many years is not fun. Be supportive, but don't push divorce. They have hung in there all this time and why throw away a lifetime, now. Marriage is work and they have forgotten how to work out things . They have been just sliding by in life. Get them into counciling and see if they can not get their marriage back on track.

Sure.....your friend. Right. Seriously honey, try working things out with your husband. Think of all the things he did and said before you realized you were falling in love with him. Get out of the house and go on a romantic weekend away. Try becoming interested in each others hobbies or interests. Good luck!

She should get an attorney and you should butt out! Moral support and nothing else, she's a grown woman and he's a grown man let them take care of there own differences.
