The Supreme Court while hearing a bail application in the fodder scam matter observed out that all the corrupt officials should be hanged on the lamp post. My question is do we have so many lamp post through out India to hang all the corrupt officials?

Yes definitely I am getting very interesting answers, but I wish any Supreme Court Judge could have also replied.

By making such statements the supreme court has only widened the circle of corruption.
Now we will need larger numbers of lamp posts, quantities of rope etc. meaning, suppliers, middle men, commisions, kick backs, touts, etc.
We will also need more police men to ensure these lamp posts dont get stolen.
We will have to widen the number of staff working for the Central vigilance committee, to see that the police men hired dont sell these lamp posts themselves.
We will need larger numbers of courts judges and lawyers to handle litigation from people who dont want their kids watching corrupt officials hanging from lamp posts in their front yard. (It wont be a very pretty site seeing fat oily looking men hanging)
more hearses, kalasi's to remove dead bodies of corrupt officials that have been hung from the lamp posts.
Committtees headed by retired judges, civil servants, military personnel to decide which corrupt officials to hang first, the list will obviously run into tens of millions.
Need to take the census every 6 months to account for the millions that have been killed by death due to hanging.

This in short is a very complex question and will likely send the Bombay stock exchange, and the National stock exchange, MCDEx, etc into a tail spin considering the amount of instability it will cause to the economy over the huge costs involved in hanging corrupt officials from lamp posts. Ofcourse companies lke Jindal saw pipes, Welspun gujarat, Tata steel etc etc manufacturing pipes stand to benifit from supply of steel pipes, Infrastructure development companies like L & T, punj Lloyd, etc stand to benifit from contracts for installing lamp posts.
later on some of these lamp posts can be used for actually fitting light bulbs for light so children can study under them.

No one is corrupt unless proved by a court of law.
Number of proved cases are less and that many lamp posts are certainly exist through out India. No one likes the corruption but when it is done ; it has to be resisted at all levels.

One would hold out hope that the vote would "hang" the ones that have been proven to be corrupt !! Then the "rule of law" used to prosecute those who have been guilty of offenses against the public trust !!
Even in jest-- the very idea of wholesale slaughter is a reflection back on an era where such stuff actually occurred and is NOT in the least bit amusing !!

Corruption is deep rooted in our system .I donot understand how lakhs of corrupt people could be hanged separately and that too on lamp posts only. Then it may so happen that the person who is in charge of hanging will be bribed to delay the hanging !!!

Law and order is the basic necessity for the progress of any society, any nation.Corruption is like a termite. It must be removed from each and every part of the nation. It can be done only by punishing culprits severely, yes ,maximum
punishment, and that could be hanging till death.

Corruption is habit which is thought by the public to the officials it is not the fault of the officials at all ,for example if you want to get your job done at an government department /as soon as possible, you bribe the person and request him to do your job as early as possible. hence let the public stop cultivating this habit of bribing, it will ultimately stop.corruption .
Food grains and other material should be supplied door to door to the pulic insteard of it being supplied at govt godowns.

Frankly Speaking.... Considering the current situation in South east Asian region .... I dont think they should be hanged....

They need to get mutilated !!! Greased in hot oil .... sent to the borderside with latterned hung around their necks so that it could be the best source for target practice for young cadets... !!

Sorry for such a fascist remark but that seems to be a good solution if u actually think about it...
