It was 7 pence a litre more expensive than regular petrol (That is £3.50 more for a full tank of petrol) My question is...Is this worth buying or is it a waste of money. Thank you for your answers.

not really worth it. Just engine cleaning additives and lubricants. maybe an octane boost. Get a tank of it every ten tanks or so to your valves cleand and engine running smoother. Save your money, reward your engine for it's hard work every now and then.

it's all to do with the octane levels. regular petrol is designed for any petrol car, the v power will have a higher octane normally used in performance cars it basically give the higher powered engine more 'umph' (if that's a word) or it's like you drinking lucozade and getting a it of an energy buzz or you drinking a can of redbull and bouncing off the ceiling. hope this helps

A couple of weeks ago, I was forced to buy it, as the normal petrol had sold out.

I can't say I noticed any difference when driving. Maybe if I had a Ferrari or something, I'd get it. Otherwise, save your money.

If I'm going to be doing a lot of motorway miles, I use the BP equivalent of V-POWER as I've found that you do get better mpg. But if you're running around town and all stop-start don't bother....

I only fill up with shell optimax, it does make your car run smoother i think and its better for your engine & enviroment.

Most jap import cars really need to run on optimax as over there they run on a higher octane level 99ron (apprently).

I think its great! here its 92p per ltr which aint to bad:

Shell optimax 98ron
Bp ultima 97ron

you live in SA by anychance? Thats where it was tested. it just has a higher octane level and burns faster for your car. Otherwise no difference
