My high heel shoes always smell fine when I first get them, but after a while they start to smell really bad & make my feet smell bad whenever I take them off. Is there anything I can clean the inside of them with to make the smell come out? I know its hard to keep shoes like this smelling nice since you dont wear socks with them, but I dont want to just throw them out. Can anyone help?

They sell what my kids call "smell balls". You can get them in some shoestores, Bed Bath & Beyond and Linens N Things.
They are small enough to put in any shoe.(I think they sell them as a way to keep sneakers smelling fresh but it would work for any shoe). When you take your shoes off pop them right in and when you go to where them....they're smell less.
You could probably sprinkle a little scented powder in them or
baking soda and then just shake out before using. Don't spritz with perfume though cause that is one smell mixing with and not eradicating the other smell. Whew~!
I knew someone who put dryer sheets, like bounce, in them and she swore that absolutely worked. The only other thing I could think of is the spray that freshens things, i.e. clothes or furniture - that might do it too.
Did you know that some people suffer from an affliction that makes their feet smell horrifically. If you are unfortunately one of those people, a Dr. would help.

There are some things you can do to make your shoes smell very nice and fresh, you can use some Baking Soda in your shoes it won't hurt your feet, just sprinkle some in your shoes and they will be sweet smelling all day long, you can also use some newspaper crumpled up inside your shoes over night then take it out when you use your shoes, they will be fresh smelling by the time you use them and then when you do as I said you can use Baking Soda or even Baby Powder in them and you won't be embarrassed to take off your shoes. And to stop your feet from sweating alot you can soak your feet in good ol White or Apple Cider Vinegar in a basin of water that will help stop your feet from sweating so much and it will make them nice and soft feel fresh and clean, also helps to remove corns and calluses. Good Luck !

First- it's your feet that are making the shoes smell bad not the other way around. Make sure that your feet are clean before you put your shoes on, and don't use alcohol that will just dry your skin out. Wearing stockings cuts down on the sweaty feet which is what's causing the odor. My daughter has the same problem in her sneaks that she wears socks with. I sprinkle them with Dr. Scholl's Odor Destroyers Shoe Shot Deodorant Powder when I notice the smell and it doesn't return for sometimes weeks. I think it works great!

Buy yourself some odoreatter insoles to put in your high heels. You can cut them to your size and when they get smelly toss them out and put in new odoreatters...I believe that they have the odoreatter spray too. Also do not wear the shoes everyday make sure you change your shoes throughout the week and you will be surprised...When not wearing your shoes spray them with lysol, baking soda, or stuff newspapers in them...als you can put your shoes in a plastic bag with baking soda and tie the top of the bag!

Try cleaning the inside of your shoes with Murphy's Oil Soap. (spray is easier to use) Then spray a little bit of Febreeze inside each shoe. If you don't want to use the Febreeze, you could also sprinkle a little bit of Boric Acid into each shoe. It absorbs the moisture & will keep your feet smelling much better.

Any thing that enclosed your feet with eventually smell. Feet sweat in shoes.

For sneakers, Febreez would be one option.

Leather shoes or sandles, the only way is to clean the inside of the shoe with a solution of cleaner and water, with a dampened rag, then let them dry, then spray with febreez or pop those little shoe balls in.
