add a can of Marvel Mystry oil (available at autozone) to your oil....run the car for a few days ...change the oil again and do the same thing one more time...It will free sticking lifters

If I can remember right, these are hydraulic lifters. If you had the these out for long time, the engine oil that was there is drained. Normally when you take hydraulic lifters of, you have to keep them upright so they don't drain off.

Take them off the head and place them in a pan of fresh engine oil. (must be completely covered-submerged) Check service maual to see how to bleed the lifters while under oil. There is sequence how to do that.

If they are still stuck, try WD 40 and again engine oil. If that doesn't work may be new lifters are needed.

Make sure when you start, you have good oil pressure.

Gas is your worst mistake. Try something unconventional. Put about 2 quarts/liters of transmission fluid in the oil (don't over fill) and let it run at about 1500-2000 rpms for 10 minutes. If there is no change, you might be looking at new lifters.

when you cleaned them, did you pump them up,with oil, before you put them in?if you didnt, then you probably had a dry start up.take them back out and see if the holes in them are opened.clean them back up and put them in some oil and take a screwdriver or something and pump them up full with oil, then put them back in.if that dont work, then i would say its time for some new ones.
