I have one (saved in my archives...I no longer use it.) I used javascript to build a month-long

on-the fly. Lots of css and dynamically-created "onmouseovers" imbedded. Each day
had a different background and/or print color for weekday, weekend, holiday, local event. Inside the script I had a routine to build, and another handler for the onmouseover. The latter popped up a small window containing the text for the day's information. The script also contained an array of date texts - some special events, some recurring (like, say, New Year's Day or Thomas Crapper Day). The calendar occupied as you may imagine about 50em by about 12em.
