Not a question of morale here, i just feel that is time after so many months together. She (23) lives in New York and I (17) live in New Jersey. I want to have sex with her, but want to know if that can result in any problems for her. I have read the age in NJ is 16, but since we would do it in NY the age there is 17, so what is it? are we good to go?

You are correct legal ages for sex in NJ is 16 and 17 in NY...what is the problem as you are 17 and she is 23, both at or over the age in each state. You are completely legal and there is no chance of a problem here.
