Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone knows if a pressure washer will work at all well running from a tap with low pressure? Using a hose on the taps to wash my car has driving my crazy! I can get a fine spray but thats about it!

Really appreciate any advice! Thanks!

A pressure washer has a built in pump to up the pressure. To do this, you have to have enough water volume to the pump for it to do it's job.

I have a cabin where there is low pressure/volume. I use a pressure washer there, and it seems ok. About all you can do is try it.

A power washer will work from a standard pressure tap because power washer pump increases the pressure but at a much reduced flow rate. A hose at standard residential pressure will do just fine. Don't get too close to the car's trim or finish or you might cause damage

I use my power washer over 100 hours each season washing homes prior to painting. The trouble with low pressure wells is the washer tends to suck them dry to quickly causing problems with both the power washer and the well pump. I have a filter on my washer to keep sand out because this will ruin my washer pump but on wells the filter comes after the pump so you can severly damage it. Be careful.

You should be fine. Just be careful and don't get the nozzle to close to the paint, you can do damage. Mine has an adjustable nozzle to increase or decrease the spray pattern and you can mess up the paint with it. good luck
