I don't know what you mean by international city but Germany has many major cities. Frankfurt has the largest airport if that is what you mean.

Germany is a great country.
But lets face it it has little international fame. Probably do to german lack of international symbols. IE it doesn't have a huge unique monument like other international cities do. (hollywood sign, Eiffel tower, big ben and the cool castle guards). The easier it is to recognize a country with its monument the more fame it will get.
When it comes to germany it seems the nazi symbols overshadow any other.

i believe it is supposed to be berlin, right? this term is rarely used in the US though. try asking that question on one of the other yahoo answers sites and you will get more responses.
