Ok I want best answer by presenting each step in logical order and explaining each one
40 + (4x + 5) = 9x
There is no need for the brackets so we drop them for the next line:
40 + 4x + 5 = 9x
Now we do the maths we can that is simple, next line
45 + 4x = 9x
Now we use algebra, so we take the 4x from the right to the left, because it is easiest as the smaller number to keep the values positive. If we swapped around by moving the 9x we would get the same result but illogically and not as directly as the larger x value would become negative
So, next line:
45 = 9x - 4x
Next line, do the maths
45 = 5x
Next line
45/5 = x
Next line
9 = x
You can't possibly get better or more comprehensive working out than that. It isn't possible to miss a mark in working out with that.

First of all, the parentheses () are a trick - there's no reason or need to separate the '4x + 5' part from the '40' part of the equation. Now, if it was 4(x+5), that would be different, right?
Since you don't need the parentheses, it becomes 40 + 4x + 5 = 9x, and that part has already been explained just fine.

man dont take tension. it is simple. first get ur pranthesis solved and then take ur all the x's on one side and then solve it. this is ur question:-
40+(4x+5)=9x
this would be solved as:-
40+4x+5=9x
u will not distribute 40 cuz it is not multiplying but it is adding. so then it would be:-
40+5=9x-4x
45=5x
divide by 5 and u will get the answer:-
x=9.

40+4x+5=9x (get rid of the parenthesis)
=> 45+4x=9x
=> 45=5x
=> 45/5=x
=>9=x (or x=9).

You have not mention your standard. Actually it is easy. Weather this is seriously asked ? If so you must understand the basic of Algebra.
40 + (4x + 5) = 9x
40 + 4x + 5 = 9x
45= 9x - 4x
45 = 5x
9 = x
x = 9

Subtract 40 from both side.
You now have 4x+5=9x -40
Subtract 4x from each side.
5=9x -40
Add 40 to each side
45=9x
Divide 9 on each side.
5=x

open the parentheses
40 + 4x + 5 = 9x
collect like terms
40 + 5 = 9x - 4x
45 = 5x
divide both sides by 5
45/5 = 5x/5
9 = x
that's your answer

40+(4x+5) = 9x
40+4x+5 = 9x.................removed the parenthesis by multiplying the plus sign inside the sign in the parenthesis,
in this case you got a positive number, that's how to do it.
40 + 5 = 9x - 4x........................now combining like terms.
45 = 5x..................... divide 45 by 5 to get the result of x
x = 9 ..................................answer
To check this:
Substitute the value of x in
a given equation:
40+(4x+5) = 9x
40+(4(9) + 5) = 9(9)
40+(36 +5) = 81
40+(41) = 81
81 = 81 ...........................to proved it's correct!
