yes, but you need a cable tv card and some software that isn't quite legal, it can be found though

Not on a PC. The only hack I've seen on a pc was the Premiere TV analogue satellite channel when Nagravision was finally cracked. There were a number of hardware ways of hacking analog cable TV by "chipping" the cable box or building one by modifying existing equipment. Modern digital equipment is a different ball game and requires hacking of smart cards which are different depending on the supplier. Nowadays it's more difficult to get "dodgy" cards or a reliable way of "fixing" them and (particularly with Sky altho you said not satellite) so much easier to get busted. If it's footy you are after then there are a number of free (mainly Far Eastern) websites that stream Premiership TV for free. If you intend to check out the PC hack (or any other) route be prepared to make it a hobby.

Yes. And its Perfectly legal. If you have a cable link to the House, what you do from there is your Busines, so long as you do not select channels outside of the channels you subbed for
