I like medium tip for normal use, as it feels smoother to write with. Then for writing a message inside a card, I like to use fine tip pen, to create a more artistic and neat look.
Normally I like to use blue so it stands out from photocopies and printed text (which are normally in black). This way the notes I make in blue stands out. For writing formal stuff, I like to use black ink.

ROFLMAO....and how many credits to you forfeit to ask such a question? Well, since you asked you must want to know....medium tip is usually good enough for most work and blue if I need it to show up as an original signature when sent digitally, otherwise, color doesn't matter. How's that?
