Even though many people say 'lip sing,' it is actually lip sync, because your mouth moves in sync with the sounds or voices recorded.

there is no such thing as LIP SING....

its LIP SYNC.... sync, a shortened word for SYCHRONIZE...meaning syncrhorizing your lips as in singing, might be a very low voice, over a karaoke song and sing, or act for that matter, as if you are signing it.
