The 29th state was named by its founding father WILL HAVALLTHIS.He was in quite a lot of debt at the time and finding and naming new territories payed good money. As he sat astride his horse a companion asked what the land should be called.
His actual words were to be " I OWE A LOT OF MONEY, I AM UP TO MY *** IN DEBT, SO I NAME THIS LAND........."
But unfortunately as he began to speak he was shot in the back by a passing Indian war party and the words came out as " I OW A......"
AND THUS THE STATE WAS NAMED !!
