I got in school suspension detention for trying that in detention. Then they took away all my pencils. That is when I learned to type.
Note it won't work with keyboards. Good luck maybe about 10 minutes if you put your MIND to it.

swap ur 2 pencils 4 two bits of flint & u'll find pyromania, a lot easier.
use the driest tinder & blow, as soon as it starts 2 smoke.
no smoke, without fire.

It all depends on how fast you rub them together, the faster you rub the greater the heat produced by friction, when enough heat is generated then ignition will occur.

What colour are they?
Use bright colours to increase the spark factor,
can you use a potato peeler as well, this will speed things up.
