100 % beef. Why does everyone hate Macca's ? It's not their fault you have no will power. They sponsored lots of kids programs before anyone else did and have changed to offer healthier menu options. What do you want ?

The only fast food restaurant that has been proved to use soyburgers is Jack in the box and actually they were found to be the healthiest of all burgers. This was quite a number of years ago, so don't know if you will find the stories about it all that easily.

having worked at McDonalds for quite a while in college, I can tell you for a fact that McDonalds uses 100% USDA certified ground beef.

It is high quality 80/20 beef that is excellent grade and high standard ground beef chuck.

They use no fillers in their beef.

As for taste, everyone has their own individual preferences. That is why we have thousands of restaurants to suite the tastes of the masses.

If you don't care for Mickey D's then don't eat there.

By the way, soy burgers are loaded with additives to give them a taste. Soy has basically no taste by itself, that is why it can be added to everything from non dairy creamer to casseroles and not affect the flavor of the food.

no, that's not true. MacDonald's do sell soy burgers like the Mcveggie for vegetarians, but the rest of the sandwiches are made with 100% beef

I think they came out with a vegetarian burger, which would be made out of soy. Maybe this is what you're thinking of?

Even though they're intended to be vegetarian, it says on the wrapper 'may contain beef products'. Totally defeats the point...

No, it is not true. The USDA mandates very strictly what they can and can not put on the label. It says that it is 100% beef check out the following website.

Beef Patty:
100% pure USDA inspected beef; no additives, no fillers, no extenders. Prepared with grill seasoning (salt, black pepper).

from their website. And McDonalds is one of the biggest restaurant or food targets for lawsuits (from the government and customers) that I don't think they'd lie that blatantly.

Its a mix..The soy helps keep the beef looking the way it does and makes it cheaper for them.

I heard the same thing about Hungry Jacks (Burger King). Its beef otherwise they would be up for false advertising.
