i do no longer see your element in that query. the situation with the Oakland Raiders is easy....Al Davis. He would not enable a sturdy coach to adhere around. He expects a coach to win together with his very own equipment yet with Davis drafting their gamers and determining on up intense priced loose brokers....they do no longer pick! Secondly, JaMarcus Russell isn't often the situation for the Raiders. Their offensive line and exceedingly their protective lines are poor. In that opener against Denver you probably did no longer see their line touch Cutler all interest. They never broke interior the direction of the line of scrimmage or maybe HELD UP the offensive line to permit the linebackers to roam. Denver is an standard soccer team and the Raiders made them seem remarkable. additionally the Raiders have not have been given any huge receivers...and their offensive line won't be able to bypass block. clarify to me the place sixteen for 27....a hundred and eighty yards and a pair of Td's is poor? it particularly is the adult males 2d interest and he actually wasn't the explanation they lost. His fumble replaced into undesirable...yet who would not turn the ball over now and lower back? it particularly is no longer the offenses' fault too plenty...yet defensively is a comedian tale!

They should the free agency market for quartbacks is almost non-existent this year, especially after Jeff Garcia who was the only decent QB in free agency this year. Plus they need to start rebuilding that offense and drafting a quartback with the type of talent and potential of JaMarcus Russell would be a good move for any team that needs a QB who can come in and play, now I'm not saying that they will be contenders if they draft him but it will be step in the right direction.

In all honesty, I think they should trade down. They need ALOT of help right now just to compete. That or trade the pick for a couple good players. Like instant plug-in, proven players. But also keep in mind, Al Davis has a thing for speed. He may go with a WR. Either way with there O-Line.. No QB or WR is gonna make an impact anytime soon.

One of two things will happen.
1. They draft Russell
or
2. They trade down to pick up two or three picks or an existing player or two.

I can see Lane Kiffen building an offense around JR and wit a decent running game, he would be a vast inprovement over Aaron Brooks.

They most likely will, however the smarter choice would be to go with Joe Thomas
Their needs on the O-line should be top priority and then they should take a QB in the second or third round and pick up one via free-agency
I don't care who you are--you can't hit receivers if you don't have any time---Russell, get used to being on your back in Oakland!!

I'm thinking that its a very good possibility but I just feel bad for the guy if they don't fix that O-Line by preseason.
