I don't want to be the center of attention but I am a lot where I life because I am the Secretary of our Resident Council.and I have to read the minutes of our last meeting and I am a bingo caller three nights a week,(we live in a senior build)
I am a people person and I love being around other people but I wouldn't mind just part of the crowd. I like this site as well.I like to ask and to answer questions.

Being invisible certainly has its advantages. That's whats so nice about Answers. No one knows who you are. I hate being the center of attention so much that I get panic attacks just at the thought. I would much rather go my own way and do my own thing without anyone bothering me. And I don't need a lot of friends either. 1 or 2 is fine for me. A lot of people think I'm weird because of it, but oh well I accept my fate with dignity. What else can I do?

I sometimes enjoy being the center of attention, but that's only with people of whom I'm familiar. Just think about it? Who would turn down the chance to be invisible? Literally INVISIBLE? that's one reason why so many people are talking and chatting on the web. I don't imagine that everybody likes exposure all of the time. Some things require anonymity. But I think we're all mostly alike when it comes to that.

We can't all be leaders, for the majority of us are "followers". In this life there are those who are "extroverts" (who stand out--loud and opinionated) and introverts (one who hides within oneself) Neither extreme is healthy for ones mental stability. Being somwhere in the middle is pefectly normal.
Think of it this way.....some of us has to be extroverts or leaders. If not, we wouldn't have politicians to tell us what we need to do next. Hmmm?

having anonymity mean's you have the confidence & humility that a lot of people don't have. Being a nobody, is a label that people with no humility give to 'other's.

I am also like you, i much prefer to be on my own, and hate being in crowds of people.
A desert island sounds ideal just me, my partner, children & 2 dogs.

i am the same as you. i would probably die to ask any of these questions in public. still, im inquisitive about stuff. its a weird mixture to be that way. to be very curious, even about little stuff, but not be social. in a way, its kind of nerdy.

I think that's the best kind of attitude to have. You don't need the center of attention, but sometimes it's good to just let loose.
