I hate to bust everyone's bubble, but that's the ONLY site that says the relase date is 6/1/2007...if you Google "super smash bros brawl release", there are release dates from March 2007 to December 31st, 2007 to TBA 2007. Even the news article on the page linked in the question that outlines the DS and Wii games being released for 2007 doesn't have an exact date.
In any case, after checking Wikipedia and GameFAQs (direct links below), I'm convinced that an exact US release date is yet to be announced.
