Qualifications are important only to a certain extent.. It would be good that u applied the skills & knowledge into practice.. Experience is an important aspect which employers look into.. Employers would want to see what kind of jobs u've been into & how u managed to tackle all the problems u faced when u were working.

Qualification is the stepping stone to any job opportunities. It brings you to a certain level but doesn't guarantee your promotion. In most cases, it's performance-based.
Relevant experience definitely counts, for an experienced person often take shorter time to accomplish the same task, thus being productive.
On the other hand, one should always upgrade himself/herself to keep up with the ever-changing society.
There's a saying: "Your certificate expires after 3 years of working experience"

my frnd ur question is good ,
but in my view point these both are interrelated i explain you it with an example if you are going for engineering degree and you passed engineering from a well known institute and after that you have got a job your knowledge of your field will help you in working ,and in future you want to apply in a well known company at that time your experience of working will give some benefit, so my frnd qualification is must in this competative era while talking about experience you can gain it later.

Experience is much more valued then qualification that's way we respespect elders even they are illiterate because they have an experiance of life more than us.......

qualification with stuff is more important
communication skills..............nothing but making others accepting what u say
experience is not a matter for right people

qualification is MUST, when u have qualification u should think of experience which is ofcourse preferred now-a-days..............
