1) Log in at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Userlogin
2) Upload the image at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Upload
3) Make sure you choose the right license from the options on the upload page
4) It is very important to say where you got the image from in the "description" box on the upload page. Without this, someone will delete your image.
5) Add the image to an article by typing [[Image: Imagename.jpg |thumb|caption]]
(swap Imagename.jpg for the actual image name and file extension and replace "caption" with a brief description of what the image is)

The best place to upload any image to Wikipedia, is not to be done through Wikipedia itself! To allow your image to be avaliable to all people on ANY Wikipedia, regardless the language, it is better to upload it a http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:Upload
Wikimedia Commons is the chief image project for all projects under the Wikipedia banner, Wikinews and others....

Visit http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Upload . You may need an account nowadays to do it, but that's the place to upload images.
