if u re exclusively breasfeeding, then there is no cause for alarm, but if u re giving formular, then i suggest u change it,ur baby 's sistem is not coping well with that particular formla, also try giving ur baby lots water ,it helps to flush out any bacteria that might be in the system

It could be a bit of both. Gripe water actually gave my son the trots. And if you are using nasal drops, then look on the package insert or box and make sure it's age appropriate first. Also, he could have a cold too, or got some bacteria in the bottle he wasn't used to. If it gets severe, then take him in, but I would lay off the gripe water for awhile and just feed him his formula. Good luck.

It could be the gripe water or nasal drops. His little system isn't used to them. If he is fine in any other way I wouldn't worry.

It's not the nasal decongestant. Those dry up the congestion, and if anything would make him constipated. Is he normally a colic-y baby? If not, he's probably got stomach or intestinal symptoms to go along with that snotty nose.

Well your six week old is on a liquid diet, ( formula, or breast milk). Baby poop changes alot in looks and texture in the first year. They are transitioning into different foods, cereal, infant food, and then table food. I wouldn`t worry to much about his poop, unless he has a fever and is dehydrated. Is his poop yellow? If you`re breastfeeding and it`s yellow and watery thats normal. Does he make explosive sounds whe he poops? This is normal too, LOL!!

Almost certainly the gripe water.
a) it doesn't work and
b) rocking and holding your baby is just as effective.

i wouldn't imagine its anything to worry about, as long as he is drinking plenty so he doesn't get dehydrated. i would just nip him to the doctors just to be sure. Alternately call NHS direct and they will give you great advice. xxxx
