NO! All good stuff. My Mom's friend bought me that cassette tape and I LOVED it! Everything from the tree on the cover to the music to Bono to the dreamy drummer who started dating Naomi Cambell. Then she gave it BACK (?!?!?) and said we didn't listen to it. HUH? Mom was having a strange moment there.

U2 is timeless, classic. It's hard to believe The Joshua Tree is 20 years old. The band has evolved so much since then. "Running to Stand Still" is still one of the most beautiful songs ever.

That said, I kind of feel like The Joshua Tree unfairly overshadows other U2 albums. I'm a die hard fan but I wouldn't name it among my favorites. Still, I suppose if ANY U2 album gets positive recognition it's a good thing.

definitely, "with or without you" and " i still havent found what im looking for". i think it'll still be recognized by the future generations, after all U2 is one of the greatest bands.

I think it will still be well respected and remembered years from now. My favorite off that album is still "With or Without You" -- such a moody song that evokes memories of high school angst!

I loved that album so much - last U2 album I did like - think they disappeared up their own backsides for a while.
