Do I really need to buy the termite warranty for my home every year?

Yes. There are no more permanent cures for termites. Unless the hose was treated with 'Chlordane' the termites will be back eventually. Chlordane has been off the market for over 15 years. None of the chemicals currently available have a warranty of more than 5 years. Your home is the biggest investment you will ever make. Home owners insurance will not cover termite damage or treatment. If you don't pay for the warranty renewals, you will eventually be paying 10 to 20 times as much for re-treatment and possibly thousands more in repairs.

Yes you do. That is, if you want to insure that termite damage is covered by a warranty. If you sell your home, it will probably be part of the inspection process.
