well over spring break my friends and i were planning to go somehwhere. but the problem is they are going by them selves and my mom said there has to be a chaperone. (i dont want my mom there) i dont want to seem like a baby in front of my friends, yet i am dying to go, wht do i do?

this event is like on the rough side of town. my mom wanted it to be like bowling by our house,. but me and my friends live on a different side of town...so yeah

Your mom is right. There must be a chaperon. When teens of both sexes get together there is always the possibility of things getting out of hand.

your mom is only trying to keep you safe. you both should try to agree on a chaperon that would not embarrass you and one she would feel comfortable letting you go with. it worked great for my son and I. good luck and have fun on your trip.

tell your mom that you dont wanna be the centre of joke amongst your friends n that u r not a baby anymore. save yourself.........
