I got up mega early last Friday as Take That tickets were going on sale. I spent hours on the phone to ticketmaster trying to get through and did loads of really frustrating website searches which had all gone into meltdown. Finally (and miraculously) I managed to get through. I had agreed to get tickets for me, and two other friends. When I had mentioned it at work my boss asked me to get her a ticket as well. So I got four in total. My boss wasn’t all that excited when I told her, even though we are in the very front block!!! So anyway, I saw my best friend at the weekend and she was all like “So did you manage to get me a Take That ticket?” apparently she had emailed me saying she wanted one but I had never received it. She is now really upset she isn't coming and I really want her to come. I texted my boss asking if she was willing to sell her ticket for £100 but she didn't reply. She has been frosty with me ever since. Also my salary review is fast approaching. What should i do??

your best friend she is obviously keen to go. Your boss could be in trouble if she holds back on a payrise just because she didn't got to see take that! Your friend will be your friend for along time, but your boss is just your boss. Though if your boss is not wanting to sell her ticket there isn't alot you can do.

Are the tickets all sold out? If not, you could try and buy another ticket. Has your boss already paid for the ticket? If not, take the one that pays you first and make sure that it is your friend. If your boss gives you a lower salary review just because of this ticket thing, maybe it is time to start looking for a new job, if you don't like this one. Good Luck.

If you've all ready told your boss you got the tickets, then she has first refusal to them. Your friend should have been more dilligent in getting you the message (like a phone call) if she wanted to go that badly. Take the terms "boss" and "friend" out of this equation and look at it objectively. Still think you have a dilemma?

it sounds as though your boss intended to go with you, and you maybe have offended her a bit by asking her to sell her ticket and this could be why she's a little frosty with you, i think you should leave the tickets with whom they were intended for and ask your boss if she'd like to tag along with you and your mates... any thing to do with outside of work should not affect your salary review so i wouldn't worry about that

Sorry, but stop being a doormat and stand up for yourself. First of all, why was both your boss and your friend relying on you to get them their tickets? Have they lost the use of their dialling fingers? They both sound ungrateful so and so's to me - so if I were you, I'd give your friend your boss's number and get them to sort it out between them. And if this affects your salary review, then you go straight to your HR dept and get them to resolve it. You've got your ticket, stuff the rest of them! Enjoy the gig.......

i imagine you would possibly want to ask to leave artwork early on Sunday to confirm the tutor, and produce Kevin to SWAC on Friday. i'm no longer precisely prepared on Sonny With a danger besides the undeniable fact that it might want to be cool seeing a filming of it. - OCD
