i feel democracy is not helping the world forward cause it givies room to exterme corruption and unnecessary competition. e.g allmost every africa country practice it but still there remain poor why???????

Maybe you should move to a country with a dictatorship or communism. Think it would not take long to find out as bad as Democracy is it still the best form of government.

The word "Democracy" is one of most abused and misused in human language. There are very few nations in the world that are truly democratic. Scandinavian countries for sure followed by the EU countries. Maybe there are a couple more small countries that can manage.
That's it.
Now there are a bunch of countries that proclaim democracy but they are far from it.
To attain democracy does not mean that you have an election every 4 or 5 years. It means that you have developed as a society and can form democratic institutions and processes that guarantee it.
It takes decades to achieve that and a lot of struggle.
In my country, Greece, the birth place of Democracy, we fought long and hard to achieve it, and after 33 yeards there is still a lot of ground to cover.

No the world SHOULD NOT PRACTICE DEMOCRACY AS A SYSTEM OF GOVERNMENT why? well here sir here a few reasons
.Well the people start depending on the government to solve all theyre problems they just get lazy, America a growing number will not use the sweet liberty that is avaible to them the ability to vote who they want to run theyre government , they are just becoming well stupid they are very very ignorent
the reason democratic countrys in africa are poor are because democracy only works for a certin people with really a non really religous people who think only they're type of government can run the world while theyre media slowly makes it less and less like it used to be.
