Oh god, do I feel old. Enjoy your innocent romances while you're young because they just get forgotten when you get older!
A movie and dinner would be nice. Or dinner and dancing/skating etc. Or a personally prepared lunch/dinner in a picnic basket.
Women love the personal touch.
*tip-don't get help from your mum...that's a HUGE no-no.

i could say 9 month anniversary because of the fact even nevertheless you broke up, each and all the time you spent mutually did no longer pass away and stop latest. It replaced into nonetheless time which you spent mutually. yet it is my opinion. finally it is something you could come to a determination mutually. Plus, it is the way you seem at it. For now, you need to aways have fun 2 anniversaries.

Remember, theres the rest of your lives, one month is hardly a fraction of that. Dinner and a movie is just fine for a one month. 1 month, 6 monthes, and 1 year are the times you should worry about celebrations...and 1 month is just the beginning so nothing spectacular is expected.

You're celebrating after one month?

...but then again you are still in school. Just take her out somewhere nice, maybe to the cinema or pay for dinner somewhere. Or better yet cook something, there's nothing more attractive than a man that cooks. ;)

whatever you do, make it different from your normal routine and let her know why. A small gift is nice and i'm not talking spending big money just simple stuff, but don't do this every month. celebrate at these points 1month, 3mths, 6mths, 1yr then annually. remember she is young don't frighten her with a huge ceremony. do something you know she'll like ad make her feel special. use your knowledge of her to set the standard. good luck my friend!

I really don't understand this tendency to celebrate weekly, monthly anniversaries, but I know you kids do, so the movie and dinner sounds good to me. Don't go overboard; just let her know you've enjoyed her company this month and let her know this is your way of saying so. Have fun, and don't eat onions! [wink]

Wait until it's one year before celebrating your anniversary. It is the usual custom.

It's one month, so a movie and dinner should do it. Don't forget to get her a teddy bear.
