don't want to go on a plane and we need to get away as the house is over run with decorators,def don't want to go shopping on a saturday and want to get OUT of london

I would recommend visiting somewhere in Kent - really close and totally overlooked by many.

There are castles - Dover, Hever, Leeds. There's lots of seaside. There are breweries like Shepherd Neame in Faversham, fabulous places to eat... you name it.
For a real treat I would recommend Read's Restaurant with rooms just outside Faversham... fairly pricey but my God is it worth it!

If you like real ale, then Faversham is definitely the place to visit... CAMRA pub of the year in the region, Shepherd Neame Brewery tours... LOTS of pubs.

Make reservations at a hotel with a hot tub in the room and an indoor pool, order room service and have a fabulous evening.
Would there be a play or show in town you could go see.
Take a walk, have a wonderful lunch out.
Just plan a great time. Planning does pay off.

Go on a plane to Minnesota in the USA & visit the mall of america & go on some rides & do some shopping.
