How can she say this when my parents were married when they had me???

mother in laws have it "in-bred" in them to be nasty to son in laws / daughter in laws.
they love us really lol.
wouldnt take it to heart........ just take it to bed.. its warmer! mmmmm (the thought that is.. not the monster in law! lmao)

It is not okay for her to say this to you. Communicate this to your wife and work out a plan that helps all of you become a healthy family. It is very important that you have a relationship (of some kind) with your wife's mother. Years will pass and eventually someone will have to take care of your mother in law. Start with some family counseling in order to better deal with this situation. Family is of vital importance in a marriage.

the fact that she said any of those words show a lack for respect! what did your wife say when you told her this?...... did he even take up for you?........ you need to tell your mother in law that she's out of line and she need to step back in her place before you have to put her there. tell her you will not put up with her verbal abuse.

she may be just saying that because of the favt that you have her daughter and she cant keep her at home with her all the time.. i know where you are coming from because my motherinlaw dont like me either and i just ingore what she says and if she trys to talk to me i just walk away. but try to be mice to her and if that dont work then ingore her and dont listen to what she has to say about you. shes just mad that she cant control what you do.
