Bad breath can be a sign of a physical ailment. First have your vet look over your dog for possible causes of the bad breath. If there is nothing physically wrong, give your dog hard chew toys like offered by Kong and Nylabones. The hard chew toy keep tooth plaque to a minimum.

Brush its teeth first. Give it a good bone. Go to your pet supply store and see if they have some of the real bones that still have the meat on them. Let him gnaw on that for a few days. Get some biscuits that have mint in it. If all of that doesn't work take it to the vet for a thorough cleaning and then continue to brush its teeth once a week after that. Good Luck.

You can try greenies those work really good or there is a treat that you can give them. It is called Yip Yap and it is a breath freshner. You can also purchase breath spray for dogs. All of these can be found at any pet store.

You could got to the pet store and buy dog toothpaste and brush his teeth(never use human toothpaste). Chew toys also work. I would suggest that next time you take him to the vet you ask the doc about teeth cleaning. It really helps.

I don't know any home remedies...But, I use those treats called Greenies. Dogs love 'em. They help remove tarter, stains, protect against gingivitis(sp?), kills bacterias in the mouth, and gives them minty fresh breath. And it keeps their teeth sparkling white!...

Bad breath doesn't come from the mouth it comes from the stomach, try sprinkling a little parsley on his food.
