It's been two weeks since recovering from urethritis (I'm a gal), but today I feel a little pain down there...

when I was really nervous because I was working. Is the illness getting back or just not totally recover yet? Thx!!

I am a male and got urethritis 9 months ago it spread to portions of my prostate and i was getting sharp shooting pains in my penis, groin , in between testicles and i thought i must have cancer or something I've been treated with antibiotics twice, they never found what the offending bacteria was that caused it, and i've been to the doctors probably 12 times for the same urine and blood tests because of reccuring pains and of course paranoia ( as i tend to think the worst of everything) But they keep reassuring me that it was just an infection and the interior lining of the urethra has been shaffed or ulcerated from the bacteria, It is slowly getting better but even now i get some shooting pains, sometimes from nothing in particular or drinking fizzy drinks, sometimes i feel anxiety triggers the inflamation also, oh yeh deffinately dont drink alcohol, one afternoon i crawled up in a ball after drinking vodka and it felt like the pain was up my rectum and in my penis all in one hit it was scary and horrible. Drink plenty of cranberry juice and filtered or spring water, relax and just know that someone else has experienced this same thing and the pains are prone to flare up again even weeks or months later. The doctor said "It's the nature of the beast i'm afraid" and told me it could heal in 1 month or even up to 18 months . Hope this helps , I posted a similar message and know one even replied to me.
