I am usually a very strong person and can handle all the blows that come my way, but I have just had enough ... I never give up, but right now, I feel that it's all for nothing! Is it really worth the fight?

Viewed from the eternity of life, is your problem truly insurmountable? Do not give up, do not give in. In the words of a song:

"Happiness, this great treasure without measure
can be yours right here and now"

I feel you bro. Giving up on life is the most normal (and easy) solution when the going gets tough. I used to be depressed so much that it was the fear of going to hell that stopped me from committing suicide (more than a dozen times; actually did once, failed-thank God :)). Sometimes there is no justifiable reason for not giving up. It indeed feels all the struggle is for nothing. However, i don't think you were ever meant to make sense of life's unfairness; or look for justification for them. Honestly!! Where is that written?! :) As one of Zadie Smith's character said in "White Teeth" (my favorite book of all time) "this life, it ain't easy". Has never been for generations past and will never be for generations to come. Those who made it (and actually found a certain rhythm in life/a certain meaning in all it's irony/a certain joy/a certain consulation; those who actually saw a new day, a smile, a flower) are those who didn't give up (not those who weren't tempted too). They didn't give up, Not because fighting it makes sense for them (we humans are hardly much different), but probably out of sheer bloo-dy mindedness. Because, believe it or not, one day is pretty much like the other; you are the only denominator they both shared. The way you feel about the day (the things around you) makes the day good or bad. So cheer up my man. There is a promise. A guarantee. The only guarantee and promise you'll ever get. There is a day called tomorrow. Filled with possibilities. Possibilities of a new sky, a smile, a flower; if only you hold on to your guns (not literally now ;))

*Hugs*

What exactly might be all for nothing?
If it matters to you then it is worth all of the fight you have in you. Evaluate your situation and everything surrounding your situation and decide if it matters to you enough to be worth the fight. Usually it is- but the fight is a hard one when something is more important to you.
If it wasnt important it would come easily.

Life has a lot of ups and downs. We all experience bad times .

You have to make a decision to keep on going or let every little curve ball bother you. Set some realistic goals for the next 6 months. Measure your success by meeting those goals.

That's easy enough, you will not fight for something that you don't believe in.

If you are talking about life, seek help because that is worth fighting for.

If you really want to achieve what you are fighting for, don't give up. Nothing is "free", except feelings.

Bagging all those groceries at Aldis last night, was all for nothing. The dang bags ripped half way through the parking lot....;)
