When he was telling us it was our duty to beat our slaves(!), why didn't he mention robots in the future? Surley they could take the place of slaves and al his 'children' could live happily ever after?
Seems a bit at odds with his supposed omnipotency!
PS, yes I am a commited athiest and I think the religious should be commited.
Peace!

Guys, its in the BIBLE!! If you look it up, you will see MANY terrible versus advocating slavery, murder for non believers, etc etc. Do a google search ffs!
Besides if they were decent prophets they could have foreseen electricity!!!

The South Koreans are doing some serious robot research and are in the process of producing a "Robot Ethics" code of conduct which goes above and beyond Isaac Asimov's original 3 laws of robotics. It will include thing such as humans causing malicious harm to robots.

Wow, you shouldn't say anything because you have no clue what you are talking about and you've tried to research the Bible by going on google instead of actually reading it. And the reason you are challenging God's omnipotency by asking a stupid question about robots and telling everyone you are a person who believes in absolutely nothing is because you know your beliefs are completely empty and your just trying to make yourself feel better.

Aw, come on Chris, you don't expect him/her/it to tell us everything do you?
I mean, it took us thousands of years to dig up the dinosaurs, so why should he not then drop robots casually into conversation.
Eternity is a hell of a long time. Longer than anything I know. Think of listening to Bohemian Rhapsody 1x million times over, and you are still nowhere close.
Surely you have to allow the omnipotent one some leeway to throw some random laughs in once every few centuries?
What would be the point in being God otherwise?

Origins of the word Robot - Czech language - robota: “servitude, forced labour”.
So maybe the author did mention them.
Peace, brother.

How did you learn slavery was wrong?
Was it not the heart of the slaves themselves?
Sometimes the gruelling path is the righteous path and many dont walk it until they have to.

Do you think freedom from labour would give us peace and contentment? If robots did every task for us there would still be a disordered society. I am a Christian(a very poor example I am ashamed to say) and of course make lots of mistakes. The church I go to is full of sinners. Did you think Christians think they are perfect? They are possibly more aware of their sins-would you agree?

I see two possible explanations:
Robots do not exist since they are not mentioned in the bible. They are just another scientific fantasy and it's better to ignore them.
The Bible is a selection of tales and legends inspired by bronze age middle eastern goat herders. It is an interesting work of fiction, it has nothing to do with today's reality. Believing that it does is delusional.
Peace brothers !

The Bible does talk of robot like ones: The thought controlled slaves of Satan who he has blinded their minds so the glorious light of the truth of God cannot shine through.

Robots are cool, they should be in the bible. When I write a Gospel I'll have robots in it for sure!
