the sentence is: "Pay attention not to spend so much money on clothes so that there remain some money for the new course books."
shouldn't remain have any "s"?

The sentence is not very well constructed; an English speaker would say: Take care not to spend too much money on clothes so that there is some left over for (your) new course books".

No, remain is not incorrect after "so that", but remains would also be idiomatic.

There are other mistakes, however. The sentence would read much better as:

"Pay attention not to spend so much money on clothes that no money remains for the new course books."

That way it at least makes sense.

Correct but use syntax and change it up. "Pay attention not to spend so much money on clothes so that money for the new course books remain."

I would suggest some changes. "Be careful not to spend so much money on clothes that no money remains for the new course books."
Money is a singular noun so takes a singular verb.

I think this is a better sentence. ''Dont spend too much in buying clothes, save some for the text books.''

Yes remain should have an "s"

I would reword the sentence entirely.
For example:

While buying new clothes be carefull to keep enough money to be able to buy new course books.

no, it is not correct. Spending less money on clothes, will leave more to spend on books.
