he just tries to do his job? I watched that video and heard his explanation and it makes sense. If I had someone spit at me, kick me, grab my nuts, claw at me, etc. I would likely beat the living sh*t out of them too.

People are such hypocrites. They want police to protect them, soldiers to fight for them, yet when there is an extreme case they give all the benefit of the doubt to the victim. Hey, sometimes it's true, but in this case I think the media is blowing it out of proportion. You can see her kicking him in the groin at the bottom of the stairs. He claimed he punched her in the shoulder to weaken her striking arm so they could handcuff her. There were other cops there too trying to subdue her. What about the cars she trashed outside when the bar owner kicked her out and the fact she kept going back in causing trouble and being violent? I'm getting sick of media portraying what they want to sell a story. What ever happened to sticking with "just the facts"?

I'm talking about this specific case. If you saw the video and read the story, you'd understand what I'm saying and why I said it.

Do you want answers or do you just what to express a view? Obviously, that was as rhetorical as your question.

First, it's a loaded question: "when he just tries to do his job?" That is debatable, but you set up the question with the presumption and answer within it.

Second, one case means nothing. You are generalizing. The fact that one british cop was just "doing his job" doesn't mean that all cops are the same. A few days ago, I watched some police officer being busted for trying to have sex with a 13 year old girl. To generalize and say that all cops are trying to do that would be irrational.

Third, we can find many cases of cops who aren't just doing their jobs. It's funny how people know that priests can molest children, teachers can sell drugs to students, but cops can do no wrong. It's as if someone who applies to be a police officer transcends humanity.

Finally, your last question: I feel the same way. You won't be able to find facts on any news outlet. The news isn't on TV to report facts; it is there to gain ratings and make money. Facts become immaterial when considering the bottom line.
