Sometimes it will happen 2 or 3 times in a day. I'm guessing it's a good sign. But I don't really get it because just happens out of the blue. Like when was sitting at the mall talking on the phone.

I would guess that it means she noticed that You noticed and she is flattered and encouraged by a man's attention. The smile is like an acknowledgment and assurance that she is doing well in the attraction department. @8-)
