change your comb and brush.

you probably have a brush that has balls on the tips and the balls are falling off. this (balls falling off your brush) will cause split ends.
it could be the way you shampoo your hair. don't rub your hair between your hands. only scrub your scalp and finger comb thru the ends.
towel dry before conditioning. rinse conditioner with cool water.
ask your stylist what products she used and how to use them. purchase them and use them correctly.

If you straighten or curl your hair, make sure you are using a heat protectant spray. If not then wash your hair every other day and once a week do a deep conditioning treatment. You dont have to pay for one, buy some biolage ultra hydrating balm, put a plastic cap over it, run your blowdryer over it for 10 minutes, let it cool 5 minutes then rinse. It will help the ends from splitting.

You do not say the exact location of the hair. Up or down.
