What you should do is make a list of pros and cons on a particular issue. Try to make them see from your perspective what you are asking is necessary for you. Most of the time, parents DO know what's best, but in the interest of fair play, try to convince them from a rational way that what you ask of them is fair. If that doesn't work, throw a temper tantrum and hold your breath until you turn purple.

Get Straight A's in School? A 4.0 GPA in College? And land a super Great Job afterwards. That should get your Parents to wanna get you something. Afterall, you've gotten quite alot of things, for yourself. (hint hint)

Now why would you want to Scam your Parents? They provide for you in what you need by the roof over your head, the food you eat, sending you to school, clothing, and on and on. What more do you WANT and NOT NEED?

if it is to do with a relationship .. your parents are advisors in relationships , if you do what your parents think you want cos they want it that way , then your in trouble , listen to there advice however , but think about what they are saying , if the step in to interfere in a pushy or manipulative way , then do not allow them , and further scrutinse advice from them to understand if it is constructive or distructive.

the word that always got me what i wanted was compremise
know exactly what you want go to ur parents with this and ask what you want to ask then find out what they want from you and meet half way that way they get what they want u get what you want and everyones happy
