Under most circumstances (if what you say is what is suspected) any loading on brick that incurs any real-substantive load, that varies over time (Flexure Load?) will, or should, cause the bricks to come apart, as masonry cement is not really very capable of sustaining a 'variable loading' over time.

Although I caught a short glimpse of a news story, on T.V. that showed "flexible concrete" It's New & news, but I don't know if it is on the market yet.
