I guess that depends on the individual. Marriage is supposed to be life long although in reality that is now getting rare. For me long-term relationship is something over 18 months. Most relationships usually have a couple of big fights in the first year or so. If the couple develop the means to handle conflict it can probably last longer and may then be deemed a long-term relationship.

My opinion would be anything over a year but who knows for sure?
Five years seems like a slight exaggeration to me.
A long-term relationship should also be completely exclusive, i.e. monogamist.
This is my opinion and I respect it.

long term my friend is 6m to a year and if you play your cards right it could last alot longer you must be one of the good guys so keep going your doing well
