Islam ~
The very first thing you have to realize is, you can play football, basketball, tennis and soccer but you can not play Boxing. It's not a game and if you go in the ring with the mindset that it is a game the results can and will be hazardous to your health.
21 is the perfect age to start training and if you're up to it a amateur fight or possibly a run towards the Golden Gloves. There is no specific age to start boxing training there have been World Champions who started training when they were 8 years old or younger and the have been World Champions who have started in the mid to late twenties. It's all about desire.
The longer you wait the easier it will be for you to make excuses of why you can't go to the gym. The sooner you get there the faster you'll become the very best that you can be.
Good Luck Islam and Thanks for the question.

Not to be rude but if you want to "play" boxing, buy a PS2. Boxing is a fight sport and is not a game. "Playing boxing" in the real ring will get you hurt.
If you are serious about starting learn to box and to fight against other people, you can start at nearly any age as long as you don't fight too far outside of your abilities (choose your opponents wisely). The later you start, the harder it is to learn and the more gym time you will need to be ready for your first bout.
Good luck !

You don't PLAY boxing. Games are played and boxing isn't a game. 21 is alright go look at the Olympic amateurs bio's on their web site some of those were older than 21 when they started. It's mind over matter, heart and determination.

21 years of age is not too late. Clifford "The Black Rhino" Etienne started boxing while an adult in prison.
With no amateur experience, he became a professional boxer. While he is more known for losing in a big way to Mike Tyson a few years ago, how he got to that fight is more impressive - he beat Lawrence Cley-Bey to get to that point.
You can look up more of his fights at www.Boxrec.com.
Good luck to you in your boxing endeavor.

You can start training as long as you are physically fit (or you could build it up pacefully with training). Kids start as young as 6 years old in Thailand and some fitness centers still offer training to senior citizens as 'young' as 50+.
21 yrs, no problem!
