dogs can jump fences and get through holes you didnt know existed. if you see the dog on your land worrying sheep you are entitled to shoot it, once a dog has killed livestock it can only safely be rehomed in a city. if the owner is not responsible enough to keep their dog in they probably wont be responsible enough to do something about. if you dont want to shoot the dog call the local police/animal control to locate the owner and maybe sort the problem out like that. alternatively put some cranky bullocks in the sheep field, just give the dog a little lesson in respect.
i have a dog that is not safe around sheep even after being sorted out by a cranky tup, i would be devastated if i found it had been shot if there had been a way of catching or contacting me(my dogs are chipped and not allowed to free roam, i know where they are all the time) but at the end of the day the sheep are your liveliehood and there should be a consequence for an action like that, it is the owners responsibilty at the end of the day . hope this helps good luck

You need to call animal control right away. And if you can prove this dog is killing your sheep the owner of the dog has to pay you for your killed sheep. Another thing this dog could end up not belonging to anyone. One dropped of and is just trying to eat. You have the right to shoot it. The dog needs to be put down because once they get the taste of blood they won't stop. And it could end up turning on a child or even an adult. If you don't have animal control around just call your local police and they have to help you. Good luck to you

The only effective method is to have the dog shot. If you don't want to do it yourself, ask a neighbour. Also let everyone in the area know as dogs can wander from other farms and villages. If any responsible owner became aware that their dog was a sheep worrier, they would take appropriate action. be firm too. Sheep killers cannot be cured.

In my state (PA) if the dog is a stray you are eligible for recompensation from dog license fees (not a whole lot of $$ but..) if its owned you are eligible from the owner but once the dog warden gets involved dogs suddenly seem to become ownerless..... yes, in almost any state you are legally entitled to shoot it in defense of your sheep- assuming you get a shot. Electrifying every other fence wire sometimes works. Guarden dog breeds, llamas, & donkeys all have some sucess as sheep guards.

The best idea is to set up some food and coat it with poison. It's not the most humane idea but if it is savaging your sheep then it has got the taste of blood and it needs to be put down before it causes harm to you or some one else

I believe that the nice way would be to find the owner of the dog and demand they keep it tethered as it is an offence to worry sheep.. report it to the ol bill and the rspca and they can come and lay a trap (cage and food) capture it and take appropriate actions or I think if it's on your land ...horror of horrors you can I believe shoot it...

that dog that kills animals, especially big ones as it's natural instinct?
that mean it's a wild one, and once it's had it's share of blood, it will always be that way forever...
that dog is scarred for life
there aint no point tryin to tame that wild beast
if it does belong to someone, then that owner is responsible for it
it's best to call animal control, they'll knoe wat to do
however if i were u, have some sort of alarm to alert u the dog is coming or is attackin the sheeps
have a gun ready to, cuz most likely it may attack u also on site
animal control can tell u wat legal actions can be done about the dog
