Gall bladder polyps are always best removed. No potion will help remove them as they arise in the lining of the gall bladder fundus. If left, they will either grow to a level which will cause pain and likely jaundice. Removal of the gallbladder is normally planned to be laparoscopic, with 3 small incisions made in the abdomen, and the surgery is far less invasive than the open cholecystectomy's of the past. It is still sometimes necessary however to progress to this, although this is not common.

Polyps in the gall bladder, as with most locations in the body can become malignant, and so if they are seen, it is important to have them removed. Don't panic though, good cross sectional and MR imaging can differentiate between polyps and malignancy. For the other poster, it is very rare, and not common to biopsy the gall bladder. In most patients it would mean either going through the liver percutaneously, which is not an option.

Don't worry about the operation, it is routine, and there are more than 20 per week carried out here with very rare complications. If you do have any concerns, speak to either the consultant or his registrar, or, failing that, see if youe hospital has a biliary nurse or liver nurse and they may be able to alleviate your worries.

Gallbladder Polyps Diet

I can understand you're being nervous about surgery. Is it possible the doctors can do a biopsy on the polyps first to see if it's cancerous? That way you would know what you are dealing with.

The treatment I recommend for this condition is using lecithin powder one to 2tsp. first thing in the morning in a glass of water and 30 minutes before every meal. This acts like a soap and cleans out the gall bladder . stop eating any fried foods or fatty foods. Try to consume fresh fruits and vegetables with small Amounts of protein. in other words give your gallbladder a rest.

Find out about the biopsy and from there you can make a better decision.

If you have any further questions please let me know,

Not heard of polyps in gallbladder being cancerous, but removing them is not really a bad thing. Try not to listen to rumours and listen to your doc/surgeon instead.

With gallbladder removed, what you really need is certain diet restriction, pretty much that's it...

Don know what polyps are but I presume its the same as gall stones which I have had for around 30 years. 26 years ago the doctor told me I had 5 and to get gall bladder removed but I didn't, I watched my diet and have never had the pain again. Stay of dairy products and fatty foods and red meats, just like a diet to loose weight - I will say that I don't stick too good to this diet but have to watch what I eat especially spicy foods and milk.

Thyroid disease is one of the most common health problems we face today. From a practical standpoint, there are many ways to approach this issue. Learn here https://tr.im/Y0atv

Hypothyroidism, or underactive thyroid, is a very common problem, and there are many reasons for this, including drinking chlorinated and fluoridated water, and eating brominated flour.

Chlorine, fluoride, and bromine are all in the same family as iodine, and can displace iodine in your thyroid gland.

Secondly, many people simply aren't getting enough iodine in their diet to begin with. The amount you get from iodized salt is just barely enough to prevent you from getting a goiter.
