Alleged contravention of red traffic light rule. Officer filled in FPN and put in location of where he stopped me not where alleged contravention took place (approx 4 miles away)

If you contest it and go to court the officer will give his evidence in full stating the location of the lights so you will get done and likely more than the fixed penalty.

Show up at court, state your claim, and the judge will most likely lessen it, I'm not sure if he'll render it invalid, it depends on what kind of mood he is in.

It doesn't matter which location is listed, just so long as you are identified and you did the offense. Go pay your ticket.

not really, most judges allow minor problems on tickets without them being invalid
