The National fares where revised on the 2nd of January this year.

However, numerous fares where actually reduced if you use a season ticket, peak time fares went up around the 5 - 10%, Cheap Day roughly around the 3 - 10% mark dependant on Journey, most Savers stayed the same.

In some cases the Yearly Gold Card ticket actually was reduced by 15% over the previous year. Making some real happy faces just after Xmas.

Train fares usually go up in time for the first day back at work after the New Year. In Kent they have already gone up and probably have in nearly all areas in the UK...

Most train fares go up in January.

The only exception to this that I know of is the Glasgow area, whose trains and fares are decided by SPT. Fares go up in between April and June there.
