To answer to your question, Islam is good. From my opinion, I would go with Sunni.

This isn't a question of good or bad; that's a matter of the individuals attracted by the religion of course there are good and bad among all people.

Islam is another of the god-based religions and the more important question is actually true or false.

As for placing value on Sunni or Chiite, one over the other, that's ridiculous. The two are separated merely by a question of which is the true descendant of Mohammad. It's a nonsense issue when both claim belief in basically the same doctrines.

In my opinion.... Islam is just as incorrectly founded as Judaism and Christianity - all claim belief in a god that doesn't exist. So ..."good' ... "bad" ... or just a lot of nonsense?

There can be no good or bad when it comes to religion and it is a matter of choice for those that wish to devote themselves. Any religion can be taken to the extreme, including Islam, but it an important and very just way of life for many people. I am a practicing Roman Catholic, with an interest in Buddhism. Respect and tolerance is the key to peace in our modern world.

True Islam is indeed good in my personal belief. WHY? Because the foundation of true ISLAM is in the belief in ONE GOD, who has made all people and all people are equal. He is the Lord who also made REASON, and Islam teaches that REASON should be the foundation of faith. Therefore we do not have the concept of Baptising a baby, who in our view is not mature enough to understand the basics.

Unlike the Jewish people, who believe God Almighty has preferential treatment for their group, Islam teaches that anyone can adopt the lofty path of loving and fearing Allah.

Christians require you to believe in Jesus, as the Son of God, without any proof. Those who lived with Jesus abandoned him and left him to die on the cross, that is they did not believe in him, until they supposedly saw him alive. The irony is the apostles preach that even though we do not even know we have not known them personally (as they knew Jesus), but, we must believe in their word or face eternal damnation. Whereas they themselves did not believe in Jesus until they allegedly saw him come alive after being crucified (which can very easily be explained rationally, that Jesus may have fainted, brought down as dead and recovered when put in a nice and large cave). Had they buried him underground, he would not have come back for sure.

I am a Shia personally and believe Shia are correct, as God does not change his rules. Abraham was blessed along with his children. In our belief the Prophet was blessed along with his children. The friends or companions of Abraham were obviously there, but they were not made the heirs of Abraham.

Irony is there is much common ground between the Shia and the Sunni. Sunni believe in following the Prophet in theory, who loved Ali and Ali loved the Prophet. However, Sunni accept people who attacked Ali also and tried to kill him or abuse him. Shia are consistent. They do not support people on the opposite sides fighting each other, whereas Sunnis support Ali but also the enemies of Ali such as Muwaviah, who used to curse Ali from 50,000 mosques for many decades in the regions he controlled.

This is my view of things. After that God alone knows the truth.

Actually every religion is teaching people to be good, but anyway the 'devil' in us always make us do bad things although we knew that we are not right. Islam, however, is also teaching people to be good. But somehow, there are too many 'devils' who made people mad and forget about Islam's goods.

Generally, most religions are bad. They are methods of control. But Islam, particularly the fanatics of this religion is particularly bad. What religion advocates killing of children? Man, it's gotta be a sick thing to push such beliefs!!!

Religion is such a farce anyway. It's at the core of most of mankind's problems. All because man can't accept the real truth. The truth of reality...

The reality is that there is nothingness, absolute complete nothingness when you die. You are a piece of meat, just like a horse or a cow or a squirrel. When you die, that's it buddy. You rot away just like that horse or cow does.

You don't remember anything BEFORE you were born do you? Because you didn't exist then, that's why. And you won't remember ANYTHING after your death because at that time, you will cease to exist.

People make up religion because they cannot accept this fact. It is very terrible, which I admit, so they make this stuff up to provide a mental crutch that helps their state of mind while they live their short lives.

Islam is the only true religion. It gives you complete guide for life from, from birth till death. It gives extreme respects to females, as no other religion is giving to females. That is why Islam is the fastest growing religion in world. You can see that people are converting their lives into Islam all over the world and you almost daily sees or listen news that people are converting into Islam, but you have almost nenver heard that any true muslim is converted out of Islam. It is my challenge for anybody in world if he reads Quran with his heart and mind open, after reading the whole Quran, he/she will definitely would like to accept this religion. Try it.
