I am 22 yr old male, and litterally have stretchmarks everywhere. I have thin skin and so get them easily. Im not overweight but am still plauged by them. How am i supposed to be confident with them ? All i ever here is that confidence is key, but if i dont like them, im sure others wont either. How can i get past this ? They've caused me so much anguish that i've thought of commiting suicide. I have little experience with girls, and im sure with these marks i wont get much more

firstly, do not do any damage to yourself!! it's only stretch marks.....most people have them, it is most common in girls, but guys do get them. I have stretch marks on my side, where my hips are, and i use a vitamin e cream which helps diminish the appearance of them...try anything from nivea, make sure it is vitamin e. There is also a product out from l'oreal called 'stretch mark eraser' try searching for that. If you are still unsatisfied, go to your doctor for a consultation, and see what they say.
Any girl who ignores you because of your stretch marks is shallow, and she has no right, coz i can guarantee she's got the stretch marks plus the cellulite!!
chin up okay? good luck with everything xo

Its actually quite natural to get them, even for men.
I don't think they would be an issue for any genuine woman, in fact to tell the truth in 10 years of marriage I've never noticed my husband had some until I asked him just then and had a look!! Oh dear... You see, women are far less inclined to notice these things, especially if you have body hair. There are far more important things a women WILL notice, such as your sense of humour and personality. Without a big smile, warm hug and loving words, you won't even get far enough for her to see the stretchmarks.
By the way, you don't have to LIKE them, you just have to accept them. Trust me, most women with stretchmarks aren't terribly pleased about them either, but its just a fact of life. You can't let it get you down. Just relax, they will fade in time and rest assured, women will empathise and never judge. IF they notice.

Seriously - no one cares. The only way you're going to realize this is to force yourself to socialize with girls despite your anxiety until you gain some confidence. I've had boyfriends with stretchmarks for lots of reasons (growth spurt, weight lifting). There ARE things that will cause your average girl to turn the other way - being a jerk, insulting her, not keeping decent hygiene. But stretch marks are guaranteed not one of them. If you can't make yourself get out there again, go see someone for help.

I'm sixteen too, I totally know what your saying. People told me they'd never go away, I was like **** that. Exfoliate your skin while your in the shower with a wash cloth, i like to use Caress, Tahitian Renewal. And, it will hurt some, but scrub the ****out of the stretch marked area. Just scrub and scrub, it hurts and gets red but whatever. When you get out of the shower take your coco butter and put it on while your still partially wet. Lotion gets absorbed into the skin much better while your wet. Do this pretty much everyday. I can barely see mine anymore, and the area is super soft. I also tan a lot, and that also makes them less noticeable. I don't know, since they're tears in the skin they might always be there, but I do my best to make sure they're not noticeable, and thats how I do it. I hope this helps, good luck, I know it sucks.

Use cocoa butter every day. Especially use it after showers. I actually have my own concoction of lotion which includes cocoa butter, baby oil, and a little bit of vaseline. It keeps the skin hydrated and moist so that strech marks do not seem as visible.

There is no way to get rid of stretch marks but there are tricks to make them less visible. You should try to get a slight tan to darken your skin.

Lastly, lift your spirits, I'm sure females do not notice them, you are just paranoid. Get some nice clothes, a hair cut, and a new attitdue and you should be okay.

Good Luck

I found a very good resource on how to get rid of cellulite http://www.goobypls.com/r/rd.asp?gid=539

Anyways.... these are some basic tips that you can follow:

Drinking water can help to decrease cellulite, however not for the reason that you typically may listen. Water is useful for the skin, and can help improving your elasticity and make your skin look tighter and more youthful. This makes you look younger and can help tighten the skin on thighs and butt. Many "specialists" say that running, biking, and cardio are great things you can do to reduce cellulite. While this is somewhat good, its surely not the quickest or best approach to do it. I think that targeted resistance training can lead to fastest results. it also a more effective way of burning the fat fast, contrary to what people think. Check the program I suggested and you will start seeing results very quickly.

Never heard of men having stretch marks before, but if you think this will stop you from getting girls you have another think coming. I have seen some girls with some guys and vice versa. There is a guy for every girl and a girl for every guy and in your case, I am sure there are several girls for you. I would try to erase them, but if I can't, then I have 60-odd good years ahead of me and I am going to make the most of them. Good luck.

sorry, you cant really get rid of them. My sister has them too she used to be worried about them so much, but with time, she's managed to ignore it. A lot of people have them, i've seen them on super models too HA! and so many guys who have big muscular biceps.... it's quite natural you know... as long as the skin is not loose and hanging.

don't think about what others think about them... if you dont care, others wont either.... be confident.... I have not seen anything that works, although you should apply cocoa butter everyday to prevent more from appearing....

Hello, now stop that talk of suicide! now, a good lotion for stretch marks is coco butter. Or try a product that is for wrinkles it works. One of the Miss America contestants said that before the swim suit showing she uses preparation H to help smooth her thighs. It works, I tried it. You put the preparation H on then wrap it with Saran plastic clear wrap and sleep with it overnight, the skin is really smooth in the morning be sure to wash away the smell and use a moisturizer. Good Luck.
