This question is intended for people into construction. I would like to know what do you mean by fill-in material? I assume there should be various types of fill in material depending on the need, but would like to get a general idea. Thanks.

Fill is generally "bank run" which is unsorted sand / gravel / stone mix. it has a good compaction rate for a soild base mat'l. Crushed limestone works well too.
